Pine shavings are an all-natural choice used as bedding for chicken farms, horse stables and poultry farms, to keep the animals dry and comfortable. The absorbent wood makes clean-up easy and helps to keep them healthier. We manufacture ultra-premium, dustless pine wood shavings in medium flake. This is a well-known product in the farming and equestrian communities since any other wood types give off acidity and fumes which is harmful and even fatal to poultry and horses. Reduction of respiratory diseases and allergies in animals, especially Poultry. Bales are heat-sealed, meaning no staples, wires or cable ties are used to seal the bales. This makes it safe for the farmer to feed the used shavings mixed with the chicken manure at the end of the cycle to cattle or other farm animals, but can also be used afterwards as compost for plants or crops. Shavings are slightly compressed (ratio 2,3:1, structural integrity is kept and have no effect on the fluffiness of the shavings when spread) Every Shavings Bale has exactly the same amount of shavings in it, no variations present, our product is persistent at any given time. Bales are palletized and pallet wrapped, making it more effective to load and offload, saving the customer time ( A R35.00 pallet deposit-fee will be levied and refunded when the pallets are returned to our factory, which can be done by the delivery vehicle off-loading your shavings at site. This is also optional with smaller loads that don’t require palletizing ) Bales ensure optimal usage of space when loaded on an Interlink delivery truck. This also makes it’s easy to store, since the bales are square they may be stacked onto each other as high as needed (on average 6 to 8 layers) and use up little space compared to other types of shaving bags, forms and sizes. Our shavings bales can now be stored for years and would still be 100% fine for usage due to the moisture content that's close to 0% and the fact that the shavings are heat-sealed in plastic bales with a 110 micron thickness. Shavings bales are waterproof and the shavings wouldn't be affected when rained or dewed on. We can provide a routine accredited certificate on our shavings for tests done e.g. SANAS certificates and their accompanying schedules are a formal recognition that an organisation is competent to perform specific tasks.
